The Brumbies secured a fourth straight Super Rugby Pacific win after defeating Moana Pasifika in an entertaining match with both teams going back and forth. The Brumbies were initially down 14-3 and struggled to shake off Moana until late in the second half. However, they ultimately won 62-36 due to their effective set piece, scoring four tries off the back of it.
Flanker Luke Reimer led the Brumbies’ charge, scoring two tries, while reserve halfback Ryan Lonergan changed the game off the bench. The Brumbies’ backs eventually took advantage of Moana’s tiring team, with Corey Toole, Andy Muirhead, and Ben O’Donnell all scoring tries.
Coach Stephen Larkham acknowledged that there were elements of their performance that needed improvement, particularly their defense, as they conceded five tries.
